Description

The provinces near Shanghai are Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhu and JIngxi. Situated at the temperate zone and with a network of rivers as well as fertile land, the south part of Jiangsu Province & north part of Zhejiang Province are well-known "Land of Fish and Rice" area. The majority of this area is on a low terrain with some low hills and mountains. It has been a major cultural, economic, & political centre of China since the 4th century. So in this area, there are many man-made scenery such as gardens, water towns & historical cities. The Suzhou style classical gardens (World Heritage) are the pearl of Chinese arts and the West Lake in Hangzhou (World Heritage) is the most charming lake by the side of big city in China. The natural scenery is also very beautiful because of its multiple topographical features, temperate climate and rich vegetation.

 

Other part in these provinces are mainly the mountain area. There are many famous attractions with eye-feasting mountains, enchanting waters and famous time-honored historical sites. These places are not far from Shanghai. Spending several days holiday in any of these places to relax in the picturesque natural mountain and water landscape areas is an ideal experience for the person who wanna to escape from the city's hustle and bustle life.
